5 Weird Habits

Lo Lo Lova tagged me for this one. I have to name five weird habits that I have. Only five? Thank goodness. Here goes:

1. I cast the characters of the books I read with actors - as if for a movie. If the book is then made into a movie, and my actors are not in the roles, it pisses me off. Case in point: Interview With The Vampire. Don't even get me started!

2. I crack every part of my body that is possible to crack. Back, knees, hips, neck, fingers, wrists, ankles, toes. Name it, I crack it. Except for my nose. Ok, that's an inside joke with an ex-boyfriend. Never mind.

3. I have to clean my apartment in a certain order. And I have to do it all at one time. If I am out of one of my cleaning supplies, I will wait until I have them all before I clean.

4. I can't fall asleep without clothes on, but I can't sleep with clothes on. So, I go to bed every night wearing pajamas, and then I undress during the night - in my sleep. Yes, you read that right. I take off my clothes in my sleep. Hence the need to refuse all invitations of the "it's ok, stay the night, I won't try anything" sort.

5. When I can't say "I love you" to someone, I say "I hate you" instead. I'm kind of a dumbass that way. Is it any wonder I'm still single?

While there are several bloggers I would love to tag for this, most of them have already described their weird habits in great detail - especially those habits of a sexual nature. I don't think it's necessary to swim in those dark waters again. If you are reading this, please feel free to tag yourself.

I chortled so forcefully at this post, I choked. You go to bed in jammies and then Undress in Your Sleep. I do so love this image. I also know several people who would love to watch you do this. A certain dragon comes to mind...

I like cracking my back very much. I roll around the floor like a bad 90's music video to do it, but I find it very satisfying.

I probably shouldn't have admitted to the nudity thing. I'm so ashamed. However, I'm glad it brought a chuckle to your heart.

And I love cracking my back while rolling on the floor! Is there any other way??

I love your oddities! I often take my clothes off in the middle of the night too, but that's only because I was too damn lazy to do it in the first place.

holy crap i'm also a compulsive back/knees/neck/fingers/wrists/toes cracker too! and i do it at the most random of times and i end up grossing people out too. although i haven't figured out how to crack my hips. at least not intentionally...

I felt compelled to make my own contribution. So these are the five wierd habits I have.

I think the ones I didn't write about are more interesting, though.

Huh, these are some pretty intiguing oddities. This clothes thing is wonderful though. Some throw off the covers, but you undress. How sexy. I have to sleep with clothes on because the touching of skin literally gets me hot. Shit, I need to admit this sort of shit on my own blog. Leaving now.

Whod've thought that such a fantastically entertaining and beautiful blogger could be such a complete freakin' weirdo? I guess you just never can tell.

:P

Brooke... you ARE Cindy Lou, the littlest Who, aren't you?

OK, that comment belonged in the previous post... oops!

I wasn't fond of the casting choices for Interview..., either. And I also toss off clothes in my sleep. These similarities are really getting kinda eerie, girl.

This is great and all, but where is your BEST OF submission?!? ;)

Ubermilf said...

Yeah, I did mine, too.

I do #1 and #2. I only do #4 when drunk.

Good stuff :)

Okay I tagged myself. There's just such a wealth of weirdness... my cup runneth over.

Oh my gosh, I thought I was crazy for casting books I read! But I actually cannot watch a movie if they cast the wrong person. Like Double Indemnity, Fred MacMurray was the worst person in the world for that part, so even though Barbara Stanwyk is my favorite actress, I just can't watch that movie. (When I read the book I was imagining Dick Powell)... if nobody on this blog is a classic-movie-holic like me, I guess I'm kinda talking to the wall! Anyway, though, great to know that someone else has that habit and I'm not looney.

My personal choice for interview with a vampire would have been Peter Murphy (the singer.) The cover of the IWV video looks just like one of his album covers, too.
*what other movies from books would you have cast differently?*

And one more thing-- thanks for noticing my site was down! I came back from vacation and went like a week before checking on it. If my site crashes in the woods, does anybody know it crashed? Brooke did!

My comments are WAY too long! Sorry!

CBT - I love your second weird habit. I think many guys are in that camp. It's better that you do that than never wipe. Although sitting down doesn't guarantee a wipe-free pissing. Check it out next time.

CBT - I love the post-urination drip. It's so comforting and soothing.

You're goofy man. Just lift the seat I tell you. I have seen some nasty toilet rims in my day. You really don't look? If you do take a glance at the underside of the seat, you will be amazed.

"coming dear, yes... I can clean the tub too... no problem. Sure, my pleasure."

I'm disturbed by the direction that these comments are going in.

Girl With An Alibi said...

Yeah these comments are going where no woman has gone before. Can we talk about something to make them uncomfortable like... I dunno... cramps or something?

egan said...

Ha, I figured you would. What can you expect Brooke when the meme is about oddities? Geesh.

egan said...

... and I will.

One habit I didn't mention, related to casting books ... In my head, I rewrite books. But even more often, I rewrite song lyrics in my head (but that's because most song lyrics are so lame).

I don't know if you're familiar with k-os and the song B-Boy Stance, but when I sing it, it goes:

I got no pants!
I'm in a B-Boy stance!
I got no pants!
I'm in a B-Boy stance!

It makes so much more sense that way.

I hate driving. It literally makes me sick in the pit of my stomach to drive, yet I do so every day. That's the weirdest thing about me that I want to admit.

Now I understand the email you sent me that just said "Todd, I hate you" over and over.

Brooke,

I just saw your post where you took me off your blogroll because I didn't answer you. May I say: I'm sorry! I was probably in a writing hole - dungeon, actually - and didn't respond to much other than hunger pains and that urgent need to pee.

I value your thoughts and hope you visit the blog again. I enjoy your humor and this blog is terrific!

All best,

Alisa Valdes-Rodriguez

Cannot be trusted,

You are large enough to *dip*...?

Wow.

I'm impressed.

Grossed out, but impressed.

...wonder how many guys do this...and thinking oral sex is OUT from now on...

Eew?

egan said...

Fuck I missed "the dip" thing of CBT's. Holy shit you must be hung like a fucking horse. I'm hugely jealous Mr. Big Unit. It sucks when it touches the porcelain.

So, I was just flipping through some of these comments. And, now I can't remember any of your habits . . . oh right, there coming back to me, I think. [Just checked your post again.] OK. I'm ready to comment. You're crazy. :) But, so brave! And, I have deep dark terrible habits that I just can't go into . . . you will find me at PostSecret. hahaha Really. You probably will. :)

Oops. Please forgive the grammar and spelling up above, Miss Wose. :)

Goodness, all this talk about Jacob's penis is making me hot! Sort of.

I love that you are all freaks just like me. Although Owl's comment was dripping with sarcasm.

And Queen Sucia, I was a bit confused by your comment at first. I've actually never been to your blog - that was actually a comment from someone else saying they took you off their blogroll. But of course, now I must check out your blog!

Alisa Valdes said...

Oops, Brooke. My bad. Anyway, the comment led me to your blog, and here I am.

GREAT BLOG!!!

Scarlet Hip said...

Thank you Ms. Queen! I'm looking forward to reading your stuff!

egan said...

How's home treating you Brooke?

Anonymous said...

Egan and CBT, go play nasty on your own blogs... Brooke's blog is far too sophisticated and honorable to be tainted by the likes of potty humor.

Scarlet Hip said...

Egan - there's no place like home...there's no place like home...

Jacob - fine. But your penis better come back.

TRM - you tell 'em!!! Yeah!

Am I the only one that noticed that Thomas said "hi from Houston", but he's actually from Seattle? And he looks remarkably like Keifer Sutherland.

Brian said...

Brooke...I am the same way with the clothing thing, except I take my shorts off right before I go to sleep...Wait, was that TMI? I think so. I'm going to bed now ;-)
