Saturday Song

Throw Your Arms Around Me by Hunters & Collectors.
An Australian anthem. You can't go to a pub without hearing this song, everyone with their arms around each other's shoulders swaying in a drunken love fest. Gives me goosebumps just thinking of it. The video is cheesy and the dubbing not so in sync, but the song is golden.

I always loved this song. Still gives me the nostalgia chills, too. Did you ever hear Pearl Jam do their version of it?

Not quite the original, but I love knowing that Vedder responded to the song as a kid, too.

That is a fabulous song. Neil Finn and Crowded House have played it on their tours since 1985.

Lovely.
