- I got a job!
- Teaching first grade!
- Which is the grade I've been teaching for the last two years!
- So it's what I really wanted!
- And it's in a really good school district!
- Where there will actually be parental involvement!
- And the dads aren't in prison!
- And I may finally be able to get room moms!
- And I'll be making more money than I did before!
- Yay!

You see? Moving is a good thing! I'm very happy for you - so is my dog, Molly, even though she seems happier with her bones and toys. But her tail was wagging, so that's good for something.
If you ever find out what a room mom is, let me know. Depending on what they do, maybe I could use one. Can you get one at Wal-Mart?

I kinda thought that was the sort of thing they might do. I really like the idea of someone showing up to help and bringing cookies with them. Oatmeal raisin cookies would be best.
1st graders are a whole other world for someone who is stuck in the middle like me. I think I'd have a hard time with clingy and whiney. Wait -- that's not so different than 6th graders.
