Free Hugs

To offset my previous hate-filled rant - a little love.
Bet you cry.
Read about Free Hugs here.

I cried when the little old lady stopped to give him a hug.

Yep. Watched it again. Cried again.

This video was shot in Sydney, Australia. Pitt St Mall to be exact. Thought you might like to know :).

Totally wonderful. Thank you!

That was awesome. Especially when that very first little old lady touched his cheek after they hugged and it went from black and white, to filled with color. Lovely.

Isn't it amazing how we humans can spread whatever we want - love or hate. Peace or war.

We need more "free hugs" folks!

I tried doing something similar to that once, but my sign read "Free Breast Fondling".

It didn't work out so good.

Couldn't they have used a better song? And I think that guy was stealing wallets.

And didn't you have a different post here last night? Or am I crazy?

Lushy - but it's such a good cry.

Chicky - I know! That makes it even better.

Bill - you're welcome.

MoMo - that's my favorite part, the way she touches his cheek. So sweet.

Flounder - maybe it would have worked better if the sign had read "Free Breast Exams."

Todd - I like the song. He was not stealing wallets. I changed my post. Yes, you are crazy.

Oh my. Not only did I tear up, I got goosebumps on the back of my neck.

I have to watch it again.

Thank you.

Brooke, I saw this and started a post about it also. Found in the process a guy in Canada, a Yo uTube of a guy in Tel Aviv, and was told about a lady in India called the Hugging Saint whom people stand in line for hours to get a hug.

Maybe a few of these famous huggers can go to 1600 Pennsylvania and change the world? Ha!

Peace, sister.

I wore a sign around my neck that read "Free Hugs" at a Phish concert once. I can't even begin to count the number of hugs I shared! It was a really cool experience, but I have to admit I was completely spaced out at the time.

It's cool to see people doing it out in the real world, and getting such a great response.

Cute. I'm gonna have to pass this one on. It's about time we see and read about something in our everday lives to make us smile instead of angry.

Nice to see the world isn't totally full of narcs. Man!

Seriously though, that's going to be doing the rounds at work tomorrow.

So I'll be down shortly to collect my hug in person ;)

Monkey - goosebumps = good.

Lisa - I agree!

FH - at this point anything is possible. Ha!

Leesepea - so you started this phenomenon? You should be so proud!

Tits - I was planning on that for your birthday. And some groping.

Dummy - that is exactly why I posted it, and why I'm leaving it up for a while. We need some good news for a change.

Edee - I agree.

Richard - good. Spread the love.

Cincy - promises promises.

People hug me all the time. They kiss me and touch me and shit.

I am weird.

Hello?

I liked your previous post.

Mackenzie said...

I need a hug.

Okay, I got around to watching the video and reading the article. Good stuff and what a great idea. I love hugs, and not drugs, but sadly am not creative enough to think of a clever idea like this. What a great guy.

I'm still stuck on the things you hate about Florida. After I left, I really missed it.

But not enough to go back.

BTW, happy hour is at 6 tonight if you can make it up there. That'd be great.

You got me. I cry at wal-mart commercials.

I love this video. I think I've watched this at least ten times.

And now, I'll see strangers staring off into the distance in a melancholy kind of way and have a strong desire to hug them.

We really need to do something about that unemployment rate.

It is truly negatively impacting our youth.
