Exciting Blogger News!

Well, exciting to me anyway.

First of all, I am finally on new Blogger. I don't know why it took so long for me to be able to switch over. Maybe Blogger was busy enjoying all of my previous work, you know - getting to know me - before inviting me over to his place. Or it's possible that Blogger is a naughty little tease who was purposely trying to prolong the agony of anticipation. Then again, it could just be that Blogger sucks. You decide. In any event, I'm on new Blogger! I admit I was starting to feel left out, what with all my blog buddies moving on without me to their new digs and leaving me behind like old moldy furniture.

Second, I have been honored with an award! Actually no, my blog has been honored with an award. No that's not right either. One of my posts has been honored with an award. Not really an award, more like a special mention on another blog that specially mentions other blog posts...which is very nice even though I really didn't get an actual award or anything. OK I did get this very pretty picture to put on my blog. That's an award ...of sorts.

Shut up.

To be honest, I'm extremely flattered. I was mentioned on a new blog called The Rising Blogger, In Search of The Rising Blogger. Are you one? Judd, the lovely gentleman who started this blog and emailed me to inform me of my recent selection, searches the blog world for worthy posts to talk about on his site. He said very nice things about me in his post, and I would like to take this opportunity to say thank you. I won't ask anything about Judd's personal life - like if he's single and if he likes pina coladas - because I feel it's important to maintain my integrity. The last time I got singled out for my blog work, I spent the better part of an hour flirting chatting with a boy who was young enough to be my...oldest brother's son... actually even my youngest brother's son. Oh I am so going to hell. Not that it was a bad experience, it was quite nice actually. But I'm really too old mature to be flirting chatting with college boys. Anyway, here is the direct link to the post about me. Thank you again, Judd. I'll be sure to link you up and check out your site often!

Third...

There is no third. There is no spoon. Here's a cute picture.

Oh wow. Just now? Were you the last person left in old-blogger-land, or did you notice?

I was wondering when you were going to change to new blogger. You're like the person who won't replace the VCR with a DVD player.

It wasn't me! I wanted Blogger! He just wasn't ready to commit!

I don't like the new Blogger much better than the old one. Actually, I don't see very many significant differences.

Thinker - I just don't like being left out.

Did you have to wait to be invited? I thought you could make the jump whenever you wanted. And congrats on the award. I'm still waiting to be discovered by everyone. But I have been on "new blogger", such as it is, for a long time now. Is there an award for that?

Why has that rabbit got such small ears?

I is not a college boy, I is a full-grown man!

Heh, that was indeed a fun conversation last summer. I continue to read all the time. Congrats on another celebration of your bloggery.

Tits - it's bacon!!!

Melissa - can you stand how cute that thing is? It's ridiculous.

Bill - spork!

Hyper - I like the label feature. Otherwise, not much difference really.

Spinning Girl - I'm a little bit rock and roll - like Donny Osmond.

Nance - new blogger did not want me. It told me so. I think it's profile picture - not enough cleavage.

John - he does have small ears! And he can't spell for shit.

Justin - holy crap! When did you start blogging? And why the hell didn't you tell me? And how come you didn't mention you look just like a young Jack Nicholson?

Justin said...

Early December, at least six times a week cuz I rock like that.

And I didn't tell you because you're too mature for me.

And, yeah, there are several actual pictures of me on the site, all of which are already online in other places. I followed your lead in that respect. Crazy.

Too mature? You mean old, don't you. Little shit.

I'm off to your blog to make fun of your pictures.

I followed the link from The Rising Blogger and just read your winning post - it touched me deeply.

Love your blog, I'll be back to visit if that's OK?

PS Congratulations on the award - you deserve it.

matty said...

OH! Congrats! ...I left blogger. I prefer WordPress, but they've given me no awards!

I think you are most deserving -- however, you're blog isn't just 'on the rise' -- it soars!

I remember your award winning post. Sure, it might not compare to the post where some random dude called me a fucktard, but it's still pretty awesome!

also, i think that rodent needs a lesson from your on grammar and spelling.

Hi Brooke! I've wandered over from The Rising Blogger. Congratulations on your well-deserved award! I read your About a Boy post and commented there as well. Looking forward to reading more posts of yours...
