So how was your first day of school today Brooke? What did you learn? What did you wear? Did everyone play nice?

Here's to a great new school year.

I'm sure the newest bunch of munchkins will love Ms. Wose, super teacher.

Good luck getting the classroom in working order...boo for the end of summer vacation!

Seems like Super Teacher would be able to blog and teach at the same time. But, I'm very demanding when it comes to my superheros...

LOLOLOL

At least you don't have to be super fucking team leader on top of it all....which is what I'm dealing with up here in O-town.

(Can you sense my enthusiasm??)

Anyway, hope you're having a relatively sane first week!

If anyone ever asks you to be the team leader.... run!!!

Egan - the kids don't come back til next Monday. How many times must I tell you?

Kendra - my room is so fucking cute. I really should take pictures.

MoMo - I'm actually ready to get back to work. Mentally that is. Have I prepared lessons for next week? That would be no.

Ubie - I do not. Children get upset when they see hanging kittens.

Mgc - I teach 1st grade. They are my little varmints and I love them.

BEG - thank you Ms. Future Super Teacher!

Dave - that would have been a great slam if you had spelled "superheroes" correctly.

Sunny - my team leader is already freaking out, and I seem to have become the involuntary assistant. All of the work with none of the crappy pay!

You need one of those kitten posters that says "Hang in there!"

I have the kitten magnet on the fridge in my classroom so that will have to do for now.

That, and lotsa Starbucks.

Sorry Brooke, I really should take notes when I IM with bloggers. Your name is Brooke right and you teach in Texas? You once dated Viggo while living in upstate New York, or was that someone else?

Hooray for Ms. Wose!

I wish you were my teacher.

You never know which one of those little critters will burst or break your heart.

I'll say it as many times as you'll listen, you are doing one of the best things a person can do.

Which makes several of your more anti-social tendencies that much more forgiveable.

I'm sorry for reporting back so late, but I am just now coming out of my white house special induced coma.

I have a new cliché as well...

That'll get you more messy than a White House meatball sub!

I brought back two whole cap, salami and prov subs, a case of tomatoes, and two dozen ears of white corn.

Oh my!

Good luck, SMG. MLA starts next week. I'm thinking of getting an apartment.

When I thought I was going to be a teacher I used to imagine how I would decorate my classroom. I always thought I would put up cool things that appeal to me, uh, the kids. However, I would always have that infamous picture of the kitten hanging from the tree limb with that wacked-out 70's font instructing everyone to "hang in there" ...I might have added one of those cushion-y "LOVE" drawings. It would have been fun. ...I think.

Good luck with all of that.

Here's to hoping this crop of students only has one problem each! :p

It's already that time again ? Where did the summer go ? Oh, there it is, I found it under the couch cushions.

Hope the new crop of kiddies is cool.

I'm listening to The White Stripes "We're Gonna Be Friends" in honor of this post.

In case I haven't mentioned it lately, you rock !

My first grade teacher had a poster of a kitten in a mud puddle with the caption "Dirty Pussy".

Oh, those were the days.

I just got diarrhea.

Is it that time already?!?!?

Must be, I had my first bad back-to-school dream last night!

I'm am looking forward to school-day stories.

Imagine if one of your students is a genius, or an aspiring Micheal Phelps, or in love with his teacher.

Hee hee. Can't wait!

Janet, Michael Phelps? Throwing out the vague swimming references I see. I love it.

Don't forget to pack an extra pair of tights in case you get a runner, Super Teacher!

Where do you get all your cool graphics?

Decorating a classroom must be the best thing! When I was a little girl, and wanted to be a teacher, I used to fantasise about my would-be decorations a lot. Now I just get to swat roaches as they creep towards patients. No fair.

Can you somehow incorporate poop into the lesson plan? I think it is important. Everyone does it!

incorporate beatings into the curriculum this year!

Do you have any super powers that you can use on them, like hypno-vision or something?
