100 Things About Me

Jacob did it. So did Girl With an Alibi, Evercurious, and True Jersey Girl. And I, being the follower that I am, have now done it as well. Yes, I've succumbed to the 100 Things You Didn't Know About Me post. And I am not even halfway to the 100th post point. But this is yet another excuse to talk about ME! Cause let's face it, nobody in my daily life is interested in hearing 100 things about me. Hi all!
I survived the hurricane unscathed. Lost all power for four days - yucky and uncomfortable. Lost all food in fridge and freezer - smelly and expensive. Lost NO friends, family, or property - happy and overjoyed.

Won't be writing about the hurricane as it's not worth blogging about - especially considering what's happening with it now. I'll do my best to catch up with everyone's blogs. Thanks everyone who was worried about me!

Brooke,

Wasn't it fun to do!? I found it way more difficult than I ever thought.

Brooke, first of all I'm glad you're alright!

I like the "hit the next blog button and bite me line." It's cool when you're feisty.

Playing the flute, according to Aristotle in his "Politics"':

"According to philosophical principles, we can infer that the flute should not be allowed to play music. The flute is not an instrument which is expressive of moral character; it is too exciting. The performance aims not at instruction, but at the relief of the passions. The ancients therefore were right in forbidding the flute to youths and freemen ... which is intended only to give pleasure to the hearer. The Socrates of the Republic rejects the flute; for Bacchic frenzy and all similar emotions are most suitably expressed by the flute."

Which means...playing the flute is sexy.

Jack - seems to be.

Jacob - I've given up trying to get over him. And not falling for him all over again every time I see him.

Brian - and yet there's so much more! I may have to do a part deux.

Neil - thank God something I do is sexy!

Viggo is married to the former lead singer of the punk band X.

They have children together.

Sorry.

Scarlet Hip said...

They are divorced. Ha!

Not like I have a chance anyway, but a girl can dream.

I loved it! So glad you shared. I'm glad you are alright. She didn't visit us in Punta Gorda.

P.S. I hate to do this. I wanted to send an e-mail, but couldn't, so... Please take part in my sex survey and invite all your friends. God I feel like such a skeev. Sorry Brooke.

Viggo... ooooh he's yummy and on my short list for celeb wanna-f*cks.

He writes poetry, paints, does photography... very artistic.

I'm afraid though, that we would be forced to have some kind of writing/photography contest to see who he would choose between the 2 of us almost 40-yr old babes.
(I turn 40 in April... 2007. I'm already freaking out over that fact!)

No FFF this week for you... too bad. Have fun catching up - they're all fabulous this week. Have read at least 10 very outstanding stories.

More, More, More!!! I want more!!!

And I wanna be just like you, Brooke! Dang, you've had an exciting life so far. And I'm sure you've got a lot more excitement on the way!

And BTW, I LOVE Dimples too -- total sucker for those! (Oh! but haven't we talked about that before?) I can hardly beleive you didn't mention BRAD once in all those 100 things, but you said you were willing to have VIGGO's kids??? GASP! ... I gotta say, though, I'd pick Viggo over Brad ANYDAY. How about you? If forced to choose, who would it be?

Sigh.... I think I may need to start my list of 100 things. I've never done it.

You are a gem. But enough about you. Let's talk about me:
- I have dimples;
- My jeans fit just right;
- I am not married; and
- I am almost seven years younger than you are.

Go figure.

P.S. Glad the hurricane didn't get 'ya.
P.P.S. ukohgypl. Unusually kind ostriches haven given young people laughter.

Yeah your first true love is your most memorable, great list Brookster.

EC - I'll be sure to check out your blog first chance I get to see about this "sex survey". You are not a skeev, and I'm very glad that you and Punta Gorda did not get hit by the hurricane - you got it bad enough last year!

RM - a writing contest for Viggo! Interesting. Though I think there would be several million other applicants as well.

MoMo - you SO do NOT want to be like me. Remember my loser post please. As for Brad, he's still on my short list, but Viggo seems a little more solid and long term to me. (as if!)

Marel - going home to Jersey this weekend to celebrate with my old friends! Should be a good one. :)

Ubie - but of course you would know who he was married to, you wild punk rock woman you.

Bama and GWA- most of what I've done was in my twenties. Now I am as dull as a butter knife!

Loz - woohoo!!!! Sydney rocks!

Ruben - another Buffy fan! I knew you were cool.

JJ - uhhhh....right! Of course!

Mel - sounds good. How much are you paying? Better be substantial to move me to Cleveland!

Phoenix - I used to look hot in a bikini. Old picture. Now I look....not hot.

Sarah - I would love to hang out with you. One of these days we will.

MQ - I will definitely blog about that night sometime soon. It's a good story. And I have pictures!

Prick - not only are you perfect for me, but you're a prick too. Which means you are exactly my type. Got pictures?

Damien - wow, how bizarre is it that you say that - and call me the nickname that he always called me too. Spooky.

qimqaeb
quick man quite an extra bummer

B, I have to read more of you, you sound like a perfect coach for "How to enjoy being single" course. I'm a bit rusty myself, after 20 yrs of NOT being single. Oh, and nobody gives me my age, either.

Happy you're OK.

YNH - how did I miss responding to you! I will work on my fiestiness. I know you like it.

Tatyanna - do I really come off as some joyful singleton?!? Wow. Whoda thunk it?

Anonymous said...

You come off as my model women - a dog person, traveller, on a second career (I'm on my 3rd), good taste in decorating (I'm an interior designer) - oh, and bunch of other hits, including the past (and future?) loves.
If only I could be content with not talking for days...

oh, and here's an idea. we'll use FFF for viggo's writing contest. i mean, the forum already exists, right? that's one step closer to potential little br-iggos running all over the world.

Oy vey! Numbers 96-99 really resonated with me!

Number 100 is a cliffhanger of a way to end the list. I vote for getting over him because you deserve to be in love with someone who's actually there in front of you rather than in the past.

Those heartstrings that connect you to the memory of him... oooh, ouch. Get the scissors out, girlfriend, and cut 'em loose. Just my 2 cents.

P.S. You are most definitely not dull as a butter knife! You're more like buttah!

: )

HeavensLilDevyl said...

What a fun list. I never would've guessed you had a tattoo much less on your ass. Viggo - oh yes :)hot-E. I'll be in Tahiti in about 3 or 4 years (planning a trip) and I cant wait to see Bora Bora. :)

Upon further review, I hereby move to strike Entry No. 43 as non-responsive. It provides absolutely no information. As such, your list is deficient, and should be promptly supplemented.

That is all.

Brooke, I hear they pay Jersey teachers pretty well. We have a friend near Morristown that teaches and she can't stop raving about teaching salarie in Jersey. I toy with the idea of being a French teacher, but can't commit.

I procrastinate too. It's a tough habit to break.

T - I'm no model woman, trust me. But thanks for the vote of confidence. ;)

AA - now all we have to do is get Viggo to read them! And I will write about my tattoo, one of these days.

Sunny - oy vey! I wish scissors could do the trick!

HLD - I'm so jealous, tell me more about your plans!

Cincy - oh I don't know if I am that much of a hussy!

Prick - you aren't bored yet? You want more? Ok, I like coffee and eggs benedict for breakfast. ;)

Lo Lo - you da bomb!

Egan - after this past hurricane, and the fact that more are expected, Jersey is looking better and better everyday. Not to mention the good pay!
