Today, I am expressing myself through art. This is my work, worth approximately the cost of a couple hours of internet time.
This is Jackson Pollock's work, worth approximately a couple hundred million dollars.
I see no reason why I won't be very rich, very soon.

This is just a filler post for Nablopomo isn't it? :P
I spent half the night on this site. I had to at least show something for my time.
Oddly, I kinda like it. And yes, many Internet things that seem on the outside to be throwaways, consume oodles of time and work. I lke the result. Somewhere on my computers I have things that I've spent hours on. One day, if I can ever find them again, maybe I'll post them.
And no, you can't have my dog. Even though as I type she is eating her bed.
Oh, the "If I can do it, it can't possibly be art" school of criticism. Interesting.
I know why: because Pollock allready did that. You need to be original to be an artist. That, or copy someone's idea in a way that it looks like you're "interpreting" it.
Bill - I am actually a fan of Pollock's work. I especially like the ones with the cigarette butts in them.
Todd - I wasn't criticizing at all. I'm excited about my possibilities. Why must you rain on my parade?
TF - dammit.
what's the difference between an artist and an artiste? Didn't J.J. refer to himself as an artiste on "Good Times?"
I like yours better.
Ubie - JJ was a tool.
Matty - me too!
But JJ got shot.
