You have a cold and that makes me feel badly. But this is the problem with spending time around young people. They have terrible hygiene and transmit illness like IM comments. The aged may be boring but they are, in a sense, hermetically sealed. Well, unless they are REALLY old, then all bets are off.
I recommend the occasional rye and ginger ale for drying sinuses and distracting the mind. It's my favourite cold remedy.
Oh dear ... it's mid-August and I've already posted a comment regarfing a cold. This may be a long, long winter.
you have reminded me how glad i am that we are exiting cold and flu season. i recommend lots of rum, i don't know if it will help your cold but will you care?
I feel your pain, Brooke. I'm still student free, classes don't begin until Sept. 6, but it's only a matter of a week or so after the students are back and they're all sick all the time. All 6000 of them.
In the South and even in Northern rual communites school has always started early so the kids get out of school earlier in the spring to help out in the fields.

Oh crap! Go figure. One week into school and you've picked up a bug from one of those stinkers.
time to put hand sanitizer and airborne on your teacher's wishlist! :))
Hope you feel better soon, Brooke.
Is that a self portrait, Brooke? It looks like how Canadians are drawn on South Park.
You should teach in a Haz Mat suit.
get better soon, brooke!
I spent most of this weekend in bed for the very same reason. It feels like it's too soon to call in sick!
::puckering up::
Seriously, sweetie - get better quick.

Damn those disease-carrying little bastards!
They've been cross-fertilizing their spores all summer long wiating to unleash them on the adult population come the start of year.
Damn you Rhinovirus!
Maybe it's time to start teaching with a mask over your face. And make those kids sanitize as they walk in the door. =)
already!? poor girl.

Oh, bend over, baby!
You poor thing. Get some rest.
Actually, that's the best offer I've had all week.
(...but I hope you're feeling better...)
Feel better! All my friends who teach get so many colds!
that's weird...
we BOTH want to be the girl with the most cake!
i agree with flounder...Damn those disease-carrying little bastards!
if only condoms where used more often.
That sucks almost as much as the fact that you are back at school. We'll be even in 7 days ... bleah.
Someone needs to drink some antibacterial vodka.
Yum !
get better brookie. I demand it!
Maybe you need a shot of penisillin.
I told you they need to be laminated.
Unless it's the janitor.
Have you been making out with the janitor again?
I second the vote for hand-sanitizer - walk around the room and squirt some in all their hands and watch them rub in it if you have to.
Oh, what fun awaits me soon!
Never used Airborne, but I hear it works wonders.
Hope you feel better soon :)
Wow, that totally sucks! Increase your supply of hand gel and let's get this thing licked!
Sorry baby, feel better. I still don't understand why school has started already. How uncivilized.

Here's a big chicken soup kiss on your ass. ;-)
